Cast and mutated sickroom appliances trigger associations with the body’s holes, entry points and vulnerable spaces; they poke and probe, or attempt to perfect. Smooth white and prosthetic pink contours combine with drains and tubes, as domestic architecture frames a place where pseudo–science and technology merge with an abject and mortal body.
